You are not morally superior because it's your job to enforce petty rules. Get over yourself.

Ugh, my driver's license expired on Thursday and this has somehow brought a string of supercilious dickwaddery into my path. First the liquor-store clerk who was looking for an excuse to deny me, and who acted like trying to buy booze with a license I didn't know was expired was tantamount to, I don't know, trying to pass off a fake ID. Or magically not being 21 anymore. And then the asshat lady at the DMV when I was trying to renew my license and forgot my glasses because I never wear them and don't need them except on the blurry rigged DMV eye tests. Bitch scolded me like a snotty kid because apparently I was trying to sneakily, deliberately fool the DMV into giving me a license so that I could maraud around the roads crashing into people with my horrible legally-blind 20/30 vision.

I am so sick of this shit, and the internets are hardly being more entertaining than real life. I think I'm going to go curl up with Consuelo (which I am now 650+ pages into) and a cup of tea and resist the urge to hate humanity for a while.

(is it just me or should vision tests NOT BE BLURRY. I mean, highway signs are not blurry when I read them, so it ain't my eyes. but even the first, biggest row of letters was all fuzzy around the edges in a very disturbing way.)
