I love you all.

Hahaha I love teachers who can geek out with you. I just talked to my French teacher about the presentation I'm about to do on Dumas's account of the Revolution of 1830. Between ourselves we came up with the alternate title "The Revolution of 1830 - A Daring Revolutionary Adventure Starring Republican Hero Alexandre Dumas." Or somesuch. It'd be a pretty damn accurate title. XD

Ongoing Amazon fail is both disturbing and amusing; I started with BOILING OUTRAGE and then I saw that the list of derated books included such classics of the erotic genre as The Well of Loneliness, Heather Has Two Mommies, Ellen DeGeneres' autobiography, a book on suicide prevention for teens, and a report on Don't Ask Don't Tell. At that point outrage gave way to a sort of grab-the-popcorn-and-watch-the-lulz acceptance of the absurdity of it all, and I must say the interwebs do not disappoint. First the googlebomb, then the explosion of the #amazonfail tag on Twitter, then the listing of affected books under the amazonfail tag on Amazon, then the tag-defacement of "A Parent's Guide to Preventing Homosexuality" (the new top Amazon search result for 'homosexuality' )...

...Interwebs, I love you. Never ever change.

Considering taking bets on what caused this. I really doubt it was outside hax0ring or a 4chan manipulation of the 'adult' flag or something, because there's actually no way for random customers to flag things as adult or offensive. I'm placing my bets on a disgruntled employee or a MASSIVE fail in automating adult content flagging or both.
