Good news and bad news!
The good news: Jenn and Jess came over on Friday and we all went back to Wisdom and it is just as fabulous and opium-den-ish as we remembered. And we got wonderfully sloshed and stayed up until five in the morning fangirling.
The bad news: Kristin couldn't come. :( Woe. Obviously we'll have to organize another get-together when everyone's free, as if I needed an excuse to go back to that place.
The good news: I finished grappling with HP tech support and my long-dead laptop should be fixed within a week or two.
The bad news: @#%!@! price gouging, $400 for a new motherboard?!
The good news: I am now safely back at Smith for my summer job.
The bad news: Check-in for summer housing was scheduled so ludicrously that I had to drive all night to make it. I got maybe one hour of light sleep at a rest stop on the Jersey turnpike; otherwise I haven't slept since I woke up on Saturday feeling not-hungover-but-not-rested-either.
The good news: I have a double room all to myself!
The bad news: Its previous occupant was clearly a wretched slattern because not only has it not been swept or dusted in at least six months (and mind you, I'm not the tidiest person in the world but at least when I vacated my dorm room it was clean), she left random bits of paper trash around the room, a half-consumed bottle of Snapple on the desk, and--I shit you not--a broken vibrator in the trash can. Jesus H. Christ on stilts, what kind of person does that?
