Mar. 14th, 2005 10:08*snerk* Look ma, no hangover!
I'm still skipping German though. Because I'm tired and dehydrated and haven't done my homework, and because I can get away with it what with schedule conflicts and all. And my head feels funny--not exactly a headache, more a feeling like someone filled my head with water (or vodka) and it's still sloshing around.
Oh, right. The performance. Saturday and Sunday were awesome--we filled the house both times, and Chloe got a standing ovation for "Ladies who Lunch." On Sunday they started standing up right at what would normally be the end of the song, where she's screaming "Everybody rise! Rise! Rise! Rise! Riiiiiiise!" and you could see the conductor frantically gesturing and mouthing to the musicians, "keep going!" and they didn't finish until everyone was standing up. And since it was the last show everyone added their own touches that were not quite pranks but definitely not in the script either--like Kiko downing half the "wine" and spilling it all over himself, or the girlfriends actually kicking Robert in the balls (not forcefully, lol, or he would've been singing soprano the whole show) at the end of "Drive a Person Crazy," or various people flashing each other as we waited to get onstage, or the conga line of grinding and humping that somehow formed during the nightclub scene. (Speaking of the nightclub scene, our director had his own prank... he decided to participate and spent the whole scene sticking five-dollar bills into Maia's cleavage. If he weren't gay he'd be in deeeeep shit.)
I'd love to say the party was interesting, but I'd be lying. I sat in the corner bored off my ass and listening to my ipod until the directors left, then when the coast was clear and the alcohol was brought out I proceeded to quite methodically get drunk. I'd also love to say that I did something absolutely scandalous while under the influence, but again I'd be lying. I think the most scandalous thing I did was kiss a boy, and it wasn't even anything interesting--just a peck on the lips. *pout* No fun.
