tenlittlebullets: (tea?)
I'm just not going to comment on the Les Mis cast change brouhaha; I've already commented plenty on comms, forums, and other people's journals, and I'm kind of burned out on discussing the whole thing. Still want Cameron Mackintosh to go jump off a bridge, still pissed off and want Ben back, but I got most of it out of my system last night.

I called the bank's number to report my debit card as lost and got the supremely helpful message of "To report a lost or stolen card, please enter the sixteen-digit card number now." Yeah, I'll just go grab my card now and look at the--oh, wait. Whoops. So I called back, got on the line with a customer service rep, and he said they'd send me a new card; at the end of the call, after he'd already set the whole thing up and given me my confirmation number, I asked what the most recent charges had been to make sure nobody had picked it up and started spending merrily away. He said the last charge to it had been at the Chinese restaurant up the street. Where I ate the day I lost my card. Which means that my "lost" debit card is probably sitting behind their counter this very instant. Whooooops.

I also bought my plane ticket for France the other day. So whether or not the language immersion program falls through--they've been in email contact and seem pretty nice, but I have no written confirmation from them--looks like I'm going to Bordeaux in July. Yay!
