Because two GIPs within such a short space of time is just rude, here, have some more Hugo-rambling. Fifth section of the prostitution digression; eight pages left to transcribe, and I have to return this sucker to the library before I leave. Which will hopefully be tomorrow.

So, before my shiny annotated Brick disappears for all eternity, any characters or scenes you guys want me to look for notes on? I know y'all probably find this section painfully dry and dense, but there are surprisingly colorful notes for random characters like Courfeyrac or Tholomyès, so won't hurt to ask.

1. Computer still broken. Have no graphics editor. Will someone pleeeeease make me an icon of Marie Antoinette with the caption "Cake or Death?"

2. Stumbled upon another fic in which Combeferre loses faith in the revolution and goes bitchy-pacifist on Enjolras' ass for actually, you know, following through with what he's been talking about for ages and actually starting a revolution with real guns and real people getting killed. WTF? Is my copy of the Brick sekritly abridged, having cut out the scene following Jean Prouvaire's death where Combeferre spazzes and says their ideals aren't worth the death of a friend and runs out into the Rue de la Chanvrerie screaming "War is not the answer"? Because I could've sworn Hugo said that even if 'Ferre wasn't too keen on armed revolt, he did prefer revolution to stagnation. And yet I keep finding fics like this, and I see no logical connection between canon!Combeferre and bitchy-pacifist!Combeferre.

3. Ami threesomes keep suggesting themselves to me. This is bad. Combeferre/Jehan/Marius, anyone?

4. Well, looks like someone's got quite a collection to sell off...
