Anyway... signed up for violin and voice lessons today, as well as tae kwon do, did my grocery and misc shopping, and attended the first of approximately ten zillion out-of-class rehearsals. Which led to two things: the scheduling of Friday-evening practice dates for the backup group I'm in so that those of us with schedule conflicts can miss parts of rehearsals and not feel too guilty, and a truly disturbing (musically speaking) arrangement of the 'Company' overture. Apparently anyone who can sing in any range and pick up harmonies quickly is 'valuable,' so I have therefore been made into a switch and go from alto II harmony to soprano harmony to holding a melody line by myself that's two beats off the main melody to something utterly bizarre involving more accidentals than I'd like to think about at the moment. Fun.
Gar. I think tonight's going to be another all nighter, but a productive one for once because I have so many things I can procrastinate with. Such as making my bondage pants (picked up all necessary materials in town), finishing putting cardboard over the windows to keep out that pesky sunlight, cleaning up my mess of a room, cooking with all the stuff I got at the store (a surprising amount of which involves ovens, stoves, pots of boiling water, and other preparations more in-depth than sticking it in the microwave), etc.
Also: it is fucking cold out there. I got into the car to go to town, glanced at the temperature reading next to the clock, and thought 'oh shit, I must have set it to centigrade by mistake.' Then, after doing a small amount of mental math, 'wait, it feels too cold to be in the mid-thirties.' Then, glancing a bit closer at the temp, 'oh. it's fahrenheit after all. three fucking degrees fahrenheit. is it a malfunction?' I switch it to centigrade. It says negative fifteen. I go *facepalm* and switch it back to fahrenheit, where lo, it now says two degrees. I check again after coming out of rehearsal tonight. Negative five. Fuckin' hell. Note to self: scour Great Barrington thrift stores. Find leather jacket. I don't care if it's too big, just get me a nice warm jacket, dammit.
(Also, I love this icon. Go m15m.)
