Semiannual website update!

So I decided it was silly that I had all the Les Mis Paris revival lyrics translated except three of the most difficult songs, and still hadn't put most of it on the internet. I mean, there were translation threads running on a couple forums, but they're long-since buried, and I haven't been keeping up with putting new translations on LJ.

And so I put them on that website I neglect like the Thénardiers neglect baby Cosette. There's now a shiny new Paris Revival Translations section and everything. Go look! Tell me if there's any buggy HTML or if I've made stupid-ass translation errors.

Yes, slang translates awkwardly. Deal with it. There's a reason I still haven't done Attack on the Rue Plumet.

......*flail* Really? Was it the French department's Prix Voltaire? Because at the end of the semester my French professor was all "o hai I submitted your final essay for the prize hope you don't mind" and I was thinking "psht that essay is shit it will never win." And I have heard nothing about it since, except someone emailing me to ask which box to return the essay to. I kind of... assumed the essay was shit and it didn't win.

Um, am currently sleep-deprived and in the middle of packing/ moving things to the trunk room/ recovering from an all-nighter followed by a night of 3 hours of sleep so my mind is more empty than the larder of a French peasant before a revolution. If that was the only thing you submitted/ was submitted for you, I think so? I only remember seeing your name and being all, "o hai i know that person" and registering that your name was in the prize section.

It's okay! Thanks for the heads-up though; I'm rather pissed off at various Smith departments now, since nobody has contacted me about anything since I went home. Things like, um, whether my application for summer research funding was accepted, whether my application for summer housing was accepted, whether the French department thought my essay was shit, my grades on various end-of-term coursework... goddammit people, communicate! It kind of makes me wonder whether they're dumb enough to drop things in my campus mailbox without telling me and expect me to be around to pick them up.
